The YEAR OF VALIANT Continues

2022 is The Year of Valiant, now expanding with three new series coming this year. For those not in-the-know, Valiant Comics has proclaimed 2022 the Year of Valiant and has promised a return to classic characters and a wider line of comics. It looks like with this announcement, they will live up to their promise.

First up is Book of Shadows which will team up Shadowman, Punk Mambo, Doctor Mirage, the Eternal Warrior, and a character to be announced later. Book of Shadows will make the team the supernatural protectors of the Valiant Universe and pit them against Exarch Fane. The comic will be written by Cullen Bunn, with art from Riccardo Latina, coming this July.

Next up is Valiant's most famous character, Bloodshot. The new series is called Bloodshot Unleashed and is going to be his first time as a mature readers title. In Bloodshot Unleashed some top-secret government weapons escape and only Bloodshot can stop them. As he travels across the United States to put an end to the bloodshed, he starts to wonder if any of the villains can be redeemed like he once was. Bloodshot Unleashed is written by Deniz Camp with art by John Davis-Hunt, and will be published this September.

Last, though certainly not least, is X-O Manowar. In this new series, titled X-O Manowar Unconquered, we see Aric of Dacia back in the armor in a battle that takes him across the universe and to uncharted parts of space. X-O Manowar Unconquered will be written by Becky Cloonan and Michael W. Conrad with art by the legendary Liam Sharp, and is set to be published this September.

All of these titles join The Harbinger, Shadowman, Armorclads, and the recently announced Archer & Armstrong Forever in Valiant's new expanding line of comics. Make sure to ask your local comic shop to add these to your pull list.
