Somewhere out in the far reaches of deepest, darkest space lies a planet shrouded in mystery, reported to hold untapped riches for those bold enough to conquer it, Amzot, home of The Herculoids! Inspired by the beloved Hanna-Barbera animated cartoon series in the 1960s, Dynamite Entertainment brings another beloved classic cartoon IP back to readers in 2025.

The creative duo of Sniegoski and Rousseau invite readers on an adventure alongside The Herculoids as they protect their home and its wider secrets are revealed.

The Herculoids is a unique combination of science fiction and fantasy, featuring a "space barbarian" family of father Zandor, mother Tara, and son Dorno alongside their eponymous giant creature friends Tundro, Zok, Igoo, Gleep and Gloop. Together this ragtag team confronts robots, evil scientists, and a stream of other foes who menace and attempt to plunder their planet and disrupt their way of life.

The Herculoids has always had a huge cult following among Hanna-Barbera fans, in no small part due to  illustrator Alex Toth’s iconic designs.

The storytelling is well balanced, fluctuating between action focused sequences and moments of levity with an emphasis on the development of camaraderie that echoes the source material making it engaging for both longtime fans and new readers.  While it may not yet delve deeply into developing the characters, the book’s charm lies in its nostalgic attraction and the fantastical elements that defined the original show. Overall, The Herculoids comic book is a fun, adventurous read that successfully captures the essence of its animated predecessor which is off to a great start that I can’t wait to see more of.

Issue One features a wealth of cover options from some of the most talented artists in the business, including FRANCESCO MATTINA, JOSEPH MICHAEL LINSNER, BJORN BARENDS, FELIPE MASSAFERA, and the legendary creator of Hellboy, MIKE MIGNOLA!

Don’t pass over on the excitement of this new series launch. Happy reading.
