Just oodles and oodles of some of the most exciting comics coming soon to a shop near you or available to back straight from the creative team! Come see what I have found for you to point your eyeballs at this week. Let's start with a very heavy Mad Cave Studios lineup.
NEWS

Kicking off the first of several Mad Cave books is Look Into My Eyes by Rubine. The quiet town of Cravenwood is rocked at the disappearance of a high schooler. Now a conspiracy obsessed teen is trying to trace the trail and discover what is just going on. Just what are those many eyed creatures in the shadow?
Grab this June 30th.

Next up we have this intriguing neo western comic HOTBLOOD! by Toril Orlesky. This cult favorite webcomic has been redone for the print medium. In a a world where old west and centaurs can co-exist we follow centaur Evander Rook as he finds romance and conspiracy running wild.
This gorgeous book will be in shops September 9th.

Cruising along we come along to Boxed from Mark Sable and Jeremy Haun. Creating a cautionary tale about consent, control, and human cost of artificial love. "A government operative tasked with quarantining or "boxing" sentient A.I. is forced to team up with his ex—an A.I. designed to seduce him—in order to take down an even greater threat: an A.I. who has taken over the Center for Disease Control."
Hitting shelves September 9th.

Now on to the caboose of the Mad Cave news we arrive at the collection for Exit City by top dog Mark London and Karl Mostert. "In Exit City, there's a thin line between good and evil, and Detectives McCormick and Miller are about to find out the hard way. When they come to the scene of a brutal accident, it becomes clear that the Major Crimes division was called in for a reason. With minimal evidence, McCormick and Miller must work together through a web of seedy criminals, genetic experiments, and a crooked government. But that's not the only thing standing in their way; McCormick is hiding a secret that would make anyone question his capabilities."

Launching into Image Comics news, their imprint Skybound will launch new title Ghost Pepper. Creator Ludo Lullabi sets out to tell a story about cutthroat food trucks and forgotten heroes. "Humanity survived a monstrous extinction-level threat, but the world isn’t better for everyone. Every day Loloi hits the road to deliver her delicious cooking to the masses, outsmarting her treacherous competition and staying one step ahead of the massive robots “protecting” them all. But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world...if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first."
Get it July 16th.

Hot from Oni Press we see the mini-series return of The Sixth Gun by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt. After 15 years the duo return to series with the Battle for the Six. Three decades after the conclusion of the initial series the immortal weapons are going to be reborn once again. It will be another race to gather them and their power!
Look for it in shops July 23rd.
CROWDFUNDING MANIA

Kicking off with one of the OG crowdfunding gurus is Ray Chou with artist Vinsensius Suriantoso for their comic Glow. This is a coming of age tale set in a world devastated by magic.
28 days remain, the team could use some help pushing the campaign toward its funding goal.

Is it a new week? Then crowdfunding superstar Kat Calamia has another successful comics launch. This time we are looking at Like Father Like Daughter #10 alongside artist Ashmo. "A father with superpowers, left his wife and daughter to become “Invulnerable” - the world’s only superhero. Ten years later, his daughter discovers that she has inherited the very superpowers that made her father leave their family. But Invulnerable wasn't the only person keeping secrets! Casey's mom has been a villain this whole entire time as a lifelong KGB agent."
With no surprise this is funded and you can grab a copy for the next 22 days.

Comics kid lit community has come together to do an anthology call Let's Go under the Kid's Comics Unite label. "Let’s Go! is a fully creator-driven anthology crafted by members of Kids Comics Unite (KCU), an international network of over 2000 graphic novel writers and artists. Led by KCU founder and literary agent Janna Morishima, the project grew out of KCU’s Kids Comics Studio program, where creators work together to hone their craft and learn the business of publishing."
The goal has been met with 32 days remaining.

Apologies upfront for the bias, but here we come upon one of the greats in the comics community launching release of single issue version of A. Guardian Chapter II. Writer Eastin Deverna and artist Kay Woolhiser bring the magic to this epic fantasy story. "Since the dawn of time, the three kingdoms of the Great Sphere have warred—with the middle kingdom of Kanoc emerging ever victorious despite its geographical disadvantage. What is its secret? How have the kings and queens of old managed to throttle both the North and South simultaneously? Neither the northern kingdom of Thirio nor the southern kingdom of Sul know the answer, but there are rumors, and they have their suspicions. Every clue and indication leads to the Tomb of Livia . . . a remote tomb in the heart of the Windy Mountains of Kanoc. But the secrets of the tomb remain wreathed in shadow, as it is protected by a mysterious ancient guardian named Aylward. None but the line of kings of Kanoc know what lies within the tomb, not even its guardian. But the rest of the world, for better or worse, will soon find out."
Eastin and Kay sit at half their goal with only 25 days remaining.

Then we come to another pillar of the comics community Matt Garvey with his new campaign How to Make Your 1st Comic. After 10 years of giving advice on Youtube, conventions and social media, Matt has collected his thoughts and experience into a no fluff version on how to get started and creating that first comic.
29 days left on this one. He has blasted well past his funding goal.

Did I cover this one already? If so, oh well. We have some of my favorite subgenres of superhero comics: the teenage team. Charlie McElvy and Oliver Castañeda launch Teen Force 5. "When a team of young metahumans—each with their own unique abilities and personalities—comes together in the face of danger, it’s not just about stopping the bad guys. It’s about learning to work together, balancing egos, discovering their strengths, and figuring out what it really means to be a hero."
30 days remain and they are about to cross their finish line funding wise.

Lastly lastly lastly we arrive at Family Matters by Joe Donohue and Alex Cormack. "FAMILY MATTERS is the story of Michael and Kimberly, a young couple in love, out on the town on the eve of a pretty momentous occasion for the couple...meeting the in-laws. What the couple isn't aware of is the danger lurking in the darkness of Addison Grove. The moon is full and the infamous Lunar Killer has set his sights on the love birds. One thing for sure is that this date night is going to be a real howling nightmare."
13 days remain and they are only half way toward their goal.
