4 COLOR LOW-DOWN: Weekly Comics News 3/26/25

Writer: Doug WoodDoug Wood

You see I wrote another article this week with Luis Godoy? If not please check out Comic Yeti dot com and read that article too! What's it about? Oh just us going deep deep deep in the caves to look at comic solicits each month. We realized that covering comics released in shops every week is good for shops but to help creators, we needed to tempt you to pre-order comics. Hopefully we can entice some of you to do so with our list of our TOP 7 books of the month. Please read that article or else my new Yeti contract will become null and void. How did I not read the fine print sooner???

NEWS

My goodness! A romance book? Well creators Chip Zdarsky and Rachael Stott would love to sell you a book of gear grinding, fluid sloshing and jangling. As publisher DSTLRY (Did you figure out how to pronounce that yet? Will you teach me?) pitches this as love affair that will have major ramifications for fictional USA and Canada relations. Oh, and White House Robot Romance is the title.

CHECK in to the house sometime. DSTLRY does not say and Chip's shirtless photo is too loud.

Maverick, an imprint of Mad Cave Studios, announces In Mourning. A girl narrates the loss of her mom and the feelings that it produces. Created by Paula Cheshire and translated by Jodie Trautman. Sorry this press release did not have very much in it, but the book looks gorgeous.

Please give this interesting book a try August 26th.

Ben Winters and Leomacs new comic Benjamin is being released from Oni Press. Sci-Fi writer Benjamin J. Carp was prolific in his output of counter culture classics until he died in 1982. Now he awakes in 2025 in a burnt out motel and is trying to figure how he lives again.

Get paranoid this June 18th.
